Street art Shanghai, China – July 2018 | Art Is Trash video

Who is behind Art Is Trash?

Behind the name Art Is Trash stands Francisco de Pájaro, a street artist working in Barcelona – this video was published on 2018-07-16. His canvas is whatever people throw away: cardboard, bin bags, broken chairs and old mattresses become grinning characters within minutes. His figures poke fun at throwaway culture, power and the established art world. That makes every figure a one-off: once the street is cleaned, it is gone, and often only videos like this one remain.
